Hello

My name is Louis Olsakovsky, I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and I am the founder of TeeTutors. In the Spring of 2022 I graduated from Penn State University where I played collegiate golf. Like many of you, ever since the time I picked up a golf club I was hooked. I fell in love with the feeling of making small improvements in my game and feeling the pressure of competitive golf. Over the last 13 years of my life, I have dedicated myself to the game in an effort to become the best possible player I can become. I can happily say that at this point in my career I have made the jump to professional golf and I will be continuing to peruse my dream of playing on the PGA Tour. Growing up I never had a coach or a mentor to teach me how to play the game as a junior. I enjoyed a moderate amount of success as a junior golfer due to my passion for the game, but I was always slightly behind my competition. Once I began playing for Penn State, I finally understood the value of having a mentor to help guide my development as a player. My scores began to drop once I started dedicating myself to the mental game, preparation for tournaments, course management, and my fitness. All of these important aspects of golf performance would have continued to be neglected if it was not for my collegiate coaches and teammates. I came up with the idea of TeeTutors to help connect golfers of all ages to elite level playing professionals because I want players to have a more seamless journey to reaching their goals than I did. I believe knowledge is power and learning from experienced and accomplished players is the best catalyst for growth. This is a unique opportunity to learn from some of the truly elite golfers in your area. I am extremely excited to begin working with you, I know my experiences and the experiences of our coaches will help you achieve whatever goals you set for yourself in the game of golf.

Our Philosophy

When you play a competitive round of golf, the player is on the course for about 4.5 hours (if you are lucky). That is equal to 270 minutes per round. The amount of time it takes to swing a golf club is roughly 2 seconds. If a player shoots a round of 75, this means it only took them 2.5 minutes to physically swing the golf club. This means that LESS THAN 0.01% of the round was spent physically executing the golf shots. The other 99.99% of the time spent on the golf course is where elite players separate themselves from the rest of the pack.

I like to bring up this illustration to players because most competitive golfers, especially juniors, will dedicate all of their preparation prior to tournaments to that 0.01%. They practice their golf swing on the range for hours to try and find the perfect swing and feel hopeless if they can't manage to be successful on their search. Meanwhile in the build up to the tournament, the other 99.99% of the impending performance gets neglected. The reality of golf is that very rarely will you step on the first tee of a tournament and be fully content with your ball striking. Great players find a way to perform well in big tournaments even if their ball striking is not where they want it to be due to their commitment to learning the intangible skills of golf.

Many golf instructors around the country only focus on the 0.01% as well. I do not want to throw the golf instruction industry under the bus, but I believe a major injustice is taking place when golf coaches fail to teach their students about the mental aspects of golf. This is where TeeTutors is different from any other golf instruction out there. We are not like typical golf instructors! Each one of our TeeTutors coaches has played high level competitive golf and has been successful. You will be receiving real golf instruction from players that are striving to compete on the PGA Tour. We know the importance of the mental game, course management, preparation, nutrition, etc. When you work with our certified TeeTutors coaches you should feel comfortable that you are receiving the most meaningful advice from the best players around. Our goal is to help our players unlock their untapped potential by taking a deep dive into the true skills that make elite golfers a class above the rest.

The 99.99%

The following skills are cornerstones of the TeeTutors philosophy. When working with our coaches we will place extra emphasis on discussing the importance of each of these skills for golf development and performance.
